Stone watering trough placed on West Claremont Road in 1843

Donations

We are looking for documents, records, and artifacts of significance to Claremont history, and to the history of nearby towns and peoples. Materials already in our collection include books, documents, China, glass, metalware, furniture, military items, paintings, sculpture, and other art work, textiles, tools, items made in Claremont, and items relating to natural history. The stone watering trough shown above is an example of the more unusual donations we receive. Placed on West Claremont Road in 1843, it is now located at 26 Mulberry Street.

The Claremont Historical Society is a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Donations are tax deductible, but only if you have the item appraised before donation. If the items are accepted, we will provide you with signed evidence of the donation. If you have artifacts you would like to donate to the CHS, please fill out our our Donation form.

Please help us reopen the Claremont Historical Museum. Your financial contributions will help solicit matching funds from various granting bodies. Please use the Paypal button below to donate monies safely.
